Students of Delhi School Of Journalism visited to Aravalli Biodiversity park on 29th January 2019 with our EVS teacher.
The Aravalli Biodiversity park is situated near Vasant Vihar and is being developed at 693 acres of land that was over mined and completely infected with prosopis juli flora and lots indigenious biodiversity. There are two types of forests. First one Moist deciduous and another one is Thorny forest. There was a man who guide us from starting to the end. He told many facts about biodiversity park such as 70%-80% Aravalli range is destroyed because of Global warming and pollution of Delhi is increasing day by day. He told us about honeybees and bint. If all honeybees and bints will be removed then no human being will be exist. He told us about oxygen intake by us in Delhi comes from Aravalli range. Almost 87% food that consume by human are produced by birds and honeybees. He told us many biological processes such as life cycle of butterfly. We learnt many things from this visit. There was a tree and scientific name of the tree is Arecial lavis. This tree decreases pollution. When we were walking to Aravalli range we saw a red sand which is known as Badarpur sand. The Red fort is also made up of Badarpur sand. Then we went to community defection ground where all Neelgai spots. Then he told about Rhinoceros. He gave us a situation how to kill a Rhinoceros. If we are alone or want to do a poaching in the forest. He told that by putting wires (electric wires) we can kill them. There are so many benefits of Rhinoceros. It can be use for cancer cure and 1870 Rhinoceros are present in Kaziranga National Park. Rhinoceros are reducing day -by-day. Then we went to the bottom of the forest that was Tropical Rainforest we felt peace in that forest. The amount of oxygen was very high in that forest. There was a small pond. Then at last we went to watch a movie beauty of Aravalli range. We enjoyed a lot in that visit was a great experience. We get to knew about new facts. This visit gave us so knowledge about nature. At last I want to say one thing that we should conserve our nature by campaigning and by saving trees, water, animals, etc.
